Delete your Attune data

Attune, the music player by Clearpoint Studios, has no account. Your music, playlists and listening stats live on your phone. If you turned it on, a backup lives in your own Google Drive. A few anonymous identifiers reach services we run or use. This page explains how to delete each part.

1. Data on your phone

Your library, playlists, favorites, listening stats, tuning preferences, music sources and settings are stored on your device.

  1. Open the Android settings and go to Apps, then Attune, then Storage.
  2. Tap Clear data and confirm.

Everything is erased from the phone right away, including the cache and the saved passwords and sign-in tokens of network storage and music servers. Uninstalling Attune has the same effect. Your music files themselves are not touched.

If Android's own backup is turned on in the Android settings, your Google account can also hold a copy of this data, never a password or sign-in token of network storage or a music server. You can delete it in the backup settings of your Google account.

2. Your Google Drive backup

If you turned on the backup, a copy sits in the hidden app folder of your own Google Drive. We never receive it.

  1. Open Google Drive settings in a browser and choose Manage apps.
  2. Find Attune, open Options and choose Delete hidden app data.

To stop new backups, tap Disconnect in the Google Drive section of Attune's settings.

3. Data on our side

We hold the anonymous purchase identifier at RevenueCat, the install identifier and product events in our analytics service, the hashed device identifiers for the Studio Bundle, invitations and the free radio allowance, and, if you wrote to us, your anonymous support account, your messages and the push token. None of it carries your name or contact details. To have it deleted, with or without the app installed:

  1. Write to [email protected] with the subject "Attune data deletion".
  2. So we can find your data, add what you have: the approximate date and first words of a support message, the Google Play order number of a Pro purchase (it starts with GPA. and is in Google's receipt email) and the model of your phone.

We delete the data within 30 days and confirm by reply.

What is deleted

Nothing is kept after deletion, apart from database backups for disaster recovery, which are overwritten within 30 days. Without a purchase or a support message, nothing on our side is linked to anything you could tell us, because the identifiers are random or hashed. In that case product events are still deleted automatically 400 days after they arrive. Details are in the privacy policy.
